Lucio Corsi

After making his debut at the 75th Sanremo Music Festival—where he placed second and won the prestigious Mia Martini Critics’ Award with the song “Volevo essere un duro”—Lucio Corsi, the breakout artist of 2025, will take the stage at Rock in Roma on June 21, 2025.

Tickets are available starting today, Friday, February 21, at 2:00 PM on rockinroma.com and ticketone.it.

The Rock in Roma date is part of his summer tour, “Ippodromi 2025”, following the sold-out “Club Tour 2025”, which kicks off on April 13 and includes major venues across Italy.

A Tuscan singer-songwriter, Lucio Corsi skillfully blends art rock and folk sounds, turning surreal atmospheres into poetry and tying a sometimes grotesque world to rich and sophisticated musical structures. After various experiences as a guitarist in local bands, he moved to Milan in 2012, where he decided to pursue a solo career performing his original songs in Italian.

In 2015, he released his first two EPs, Vetulonia Dakar and Altalena Boy (produced by Federico Dragogna and released by Picicca Dischi). His debut album Bestiario Musicale followed in 2017—a concept record dedicated to the animals of his native Maremma region. That same year, Lucio opened for the theatrical tours of Baustelle and Brunori SAS, and performed at several festivals across Italy.

In 2020, he released his second studio album, Cosa faremo da grandi?, on Sugar Music, produced alongside Francesco Bianconi and Antonio Cupertino, and accompanied by visionary videos directed by Tommaso Ottomano. Their collaboration continued with the 2023 release of La Gente Che Sogna (Sugar Music), his third album.

This record draws inspiration from 1970s glam rock—one of Corsi’s great passions—and lyrically explores themes like darkness, sleep, dreams, reality, and imagination. La Gente Che Sogna was widely praised by critics and audiences alike, earning him a spot at the Tenco Prize, where he was one of the youngest artists to perform.

In May 2023, he embarked on an extensive tour—including an opening slot for The Who at Firenze Rocks—which wrapped up in fall 2024. On November 12, 2024, he released the single Tu sei il mattino (also via Sugar Music), featuring a special appearance by Carlo Verdone in the music video. The track also plays a central role in Verdone’s TV series Vita da Carlo – Season 3, available exclusively on Paramount+.

In February 2025, Corsi competed in the 75th Sanremo Music Festival, placing second and winning the Mia Martini Critics’ Award with Volevo essere un duro—a song that anticipates his self-titled album, due out on March 21, 2025.

In April, he’ll tour Italy’s top clubs (all sold out), followed by two major summer shows in Rome and Milan.
